July 3rd, 2007

Social advertising has significantly reduced the numbers of smokers in New York for the last three years, states Daily News newspaper referring to the information of experts.
The main hero of antitobacco TV advertising clips became the man with moved off part of a throat because of a cancer. Inveterate smoker in the past now can take the meal only through an aperture in a throat that he shows to the audience.
By the way, antitobacco advertising campaign took about 10 million dollars from the city treasury.
Experts believe, that this very clip became the clincher when choosing whether smoke or not, instead of tax pressure upon cigarettes manufacturers and growth of the price on tobacco production.
New York also became the first city in the USA where authorities several years ago put restriction on smoking in restaurants, despite of negative reaction on the part of owners of the restaurant business.
