June 26th, 2007

Czechia which has recently entered the EU is also not so safe. Last two summer seasons tourist agencies are recommended to inform their tourists on danger of tick-borne encephalitis infection. Incidence rate last years is marked both among the local population, and visitors of the country. Especially it is actual in connection with opening of new forest tourist routes.
In Turkey, besides very high chances to get into a road incident, tourists should beware of another danger. The probability to pick up diarrhea, by various estimations, makes from 20 % up to 40 %.
In China tourists are exposed to serious risk, consuming badly or incorrectly prepared seafood. Infection of so-called “guanchzhousky round worms ” is quite possible here. It may happen if to consume raw seafood and exotic poultry. Special danger pose raw mollusks, some kinds of fishes, shrimps, crabs, frogs and snake. More often worms cause brain fever in the person resulting in dementia, sometimes – in a lethal outcome.
Russia is not less dangerous to tourists. Railway stations and the underground - places where the tourist can easily lose a purse, passport or camera. Transport traditionally does not come in time, therefore sometimes tourists are late for the plane. However there are no specific diseases.
